For this week’s theme multicolored, I want to show you a Hindu Temple in Singapore and some traditional decorations of Bali
Singapore
Sri Mariamman Temple, Singapore, Chinatown
These multicolored decorations on the Hindu temples in Singapore are special for Singapore; the Hindu community is immigrant South Indian, who brought this culture along with them to Singapore, it is said.
Bali, Denpasar
These decorations are used to signalise a celebration and carry offerings – rice, fruits etc
I had to share this burst of color with you. And yes, no we haven’t left the path of the great traveller, Ibn Battuta: he was in Indonesia as well
Are you the color type?
Have you been to South East Asia? Do you like it? What for?
