These multicolored decorations on the Hindu temples in Singapore are special for Singapore; the Hindu community is immigrant South Indian, who brought this culture along with them to Singapore, it is said.

These decorations are used to signalise a celebration and carry offerings – rice, fruits etc

I had to share this burst of color with you. And yes, no we haven’t left the path of the great traveller, Ibn Battuta: he was in Indonesia as well
